Sundance Saloon Invades The Castro

Sundance Saloon spent a glorious hour two-stepping and line dancing in the heart of the Castro this afternoon, January 10, 2015. The weather more than cooperated, with the sun shining and the temperature climbing to a perfect mid-60s.

There’s something truly special about dancing out in the open air. We’ll surely be the talk of the tourists waiting for their F-line trolley — surely they don’t see this at home. What better representation of the LGBT community to the world than same-sex dance partners just out enjoying themselves! We had lots of interested passersby, and lots of fun and entertainment for participants and observers alike.

Some nice comments we received:
“… probably the best and most enjoyable of all the Sunday Concert events in Jane Warner Plaza since it started.” – Dennis, owner of Orphan Andy’s
“Great use for our neighborhood space.” – Scott Wiener, San Francisco Supervisor

Thanks to the Castro/Upper Market Community Benefit District for hosting us! We hope to do it again soon!
