Sundance Saloon Security Update
Last year there were some car break-ins in the area around Sundance Saloon. Fortunately these have settled down in recent months, but you should continue to be careful and vigilant. We have increased security patrols in the area significantly, but even so, they cannot be everywhere at all times.
Here are some steps you can take to reduce your risk.
- Do not leave anything visible in your car.
- The thieves may be watching to see if you open your trunk to hide items. Place anything out of sight before you leave home, or bring it into Sundance Saloon. And don't leave anything valuable in your car at all.
- Most of the break-ins (but not all) have occurred on Dorman Street or on Barneveld near Oakdale. Be especially careful when parking there, especially on Thursdays when we have fewer patrols.
- We suggest that when you arrive at Sundance Saloon, that you pick a side street and drive around the block before parking. Do the same when you leave. This will increase traffic on these streets, acting as a further deterrent. If you see anything suspicious, return to Sundance Saloon and report it immediately.
Please report any suspicious activity immediately to security. If you are a victim of a break-in, make sure the club knows, make sure that we know, [e-mail security@sundancesaloon.org], and please file a police report so we can continue to document the problem.
