Be a star! Have your photo taken at Sundance Saloon for our publicity throughout the year. In preparation for our 17th anniversary resident photographer Troy Dean Wardlow will be shooting photos throughout the night up in the Red Room. Please bring your cowboy hat to wear in the photo, or to lend to others to wear! We will also dedicate some time in the Main Room for action photos and video.
We celebrate our March birthday babies on the first Sunday of the month with a special birthday dance and cake! If your birthday is in March we hope you and your friends join in the fun. The dance in your honor will take place right after the 8:30 line dance set.
We are refining how we classify our lesson levels at Sundance Saloon:
Beginning = As always, for beginners. Lessons will start no assumption of previous experience. We will no longer make a distinction between "intro" and "beginning" lessons.
Intermediate = For those who are completely comfortable with the basics. This level will focus on leader/follower interactions and develop and fine-tune a foundation in moves such as basic turns, spins, exchanges. Formerly referred to as "beginning-plus," more advanced dancers are likely to benefit from this level of instruction as well high-level beginners. At a minimum intermediate lessons will be offered on the first Sunday of the month at 5:30 pm, and the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm.
Advanced = For those with a high proficiency of all types of moves including a wide variety of turns and spins. Formerly referred to as "intermediate."
It is best to master the principles of one level before progressing to the next. Most of us can benefit from several lesons at one level and weeks, if not months, of practice to be truly ready to move on.

Did you know that Sundance Saloon is run entirely by volunteers? The managers, front door and coat-check staff, set-up crew, instructors, and DJs all donate their time to create this unique institution. It is the cumulative effort of dozens of volunteers that keep Sundance Saloon thriving and make it such a special place.
We are continuing to recruit new volunteers for the front door and coat-check, especially those who can commit to serving one hour a month on Sundays. If you can help us out, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
