Our yearly Sweetheart’s Ball is on Sunday, February 12. We'll decorate Sundance Saloon in true Valentines Day fashion. And, we’ll see the return of the enormously popular Underwear Party! 
Yes, we'll have special free coat check (clothes check?) for those of you who dare to dance in your underwear. There will plenty of hot bodies to keep the club warm. Note that participation in the underwear night is totally optional.
If you’re a little shy but still want to participate, consider long underwear, or boxer shorts and a T-shirt. This night is meant to be a fun (and even a little silly) so please dress however you feel comfortable. We’ll have a great night of music and dance, so please come and enjoy yourself. And don't get a chill!
"Basics Plus" West Coast Swing Instruction in February

Citabria Phillips for this series of 3 classes. The prerequisite is that you are comfortable with West Coast Swing basics: Push breaks, side passes, underarm turns, and the whip. We will refine these steps and continue with more basics steps and patterns.
The cost for the series is $15, in addition to the regular admission charge at Sundance Saloon. No one will be turned away for lack of funds for any Sundance Saloon event, so let us know if you need us to waive the fee. Attendance is limited to 24 people. Green Room classes are not drop in; all students must preregister. To reserve your place, email us (info@sundancesaloon.org) with the following information (1) name, (2) email address, (3) lead or follow. We'll confirm.

Sundance Saloon brings Saturday two-stepping and line dancing to the South-of-Market club Beatbox every third Saturday of the month! Beatbox is a new fun club with exposed brick walls, steel beams and high ceilings. Sundance Saloon regulars love the gorgeous hardwood floor, awesome sound system, fully-stocked bar, and central location.
Beginning two-step lessons starting at 6:00 pm, and a beginning line dance at 6:30. Then it's open dancing from 7:00 until 10:00 pm. Admission is $8, over 21 w/ ID.

Don't want to have to choose between the Academy Awards and dancing? Now you don't have to! Sundance Saloon presents the Academy Awards in its full glory on Sunday, February 26, beginning at 5:00 pm. We'll have some ballots to see who can predict the big winners.
Watch the Oscars on a big screen with your Sundance friends in the Green Room Lounge, and dance to your heart's content in the Main Room. We'll have lessons as usual in the Main Room from 5:30 to 7:15. Regular Sunday admission $5. (Sorry, no line dancing in the Green Room on this night.)
Sundance Saloon Volunteers Needed
Did you know that Sundance Saloon is run entirely by volunteers? The managers, front door and coat-check staff, set-up crew, instructors, and DJs all donate their time to create this unique institution. It is the cumulative effort of dozens of volunteers that keep Sundance Saloon thriving and make it such a special place.
We are now recruiting new volunteers for the front door and coat-check, especially those who can commit to serving one hour a month on Sundays. If you can help us out, contact volunteer@sundancesaloon.org.
